What is the difference between Marble and Granite?

Marble and granite are usually distinguished by visible granules on the stone’s surface. Granite has flecked or grainy appearance, while marble has veining. Natural stone is divided into two types based on its chemical composition: Siliceous stone is made up primarily of silica or quartz-like particles and is known for its durability and ease of maintenance. Granite, slate, and sandstone are examples of this type of stone.

Calcium carbonate is the major component of calcareous stone. It is susceptible to acidic cleaning agents and necessitates different cleaning processes than siliceous stone on a regular basis. Marble, travertine, limestone, and onyx are examples of these sorts of stones.
